Special Home Based Business Information for Anyone Concerned About Their Financial Future...
Q1:
Are you making too much money?
|
Dear Friend
If like many New Zealanders, you are concerned about your retirement and financial wellbeing but UNLIKE many, are actually prepared to do something about it, then remember today's date -
Why? Because if you take action after reading this message, you will be in a position to make a positive and profound effect on the rest of your life.
If it sounds like a crazy home based business idea and a bit over the top, read on and we'll explain.
Why Does it Seem Harder
And Harder Just to Get By?
Based on real evidence, increasing living costs mean the average New Zealand family is going into the red simply to cover everyday expenses, according to detailed new analysis reported by the New Zealand Star Times.
Where four years ago a family on the average income could expect to earn $23 more than it spent on its bills each week, that figure has now fallen below zero to $15 in the red.
Families (without a proven income stream from a reliable home based business), wanting to maintain the living standard they enjoyed four years ago are being forced into debt. Some must face the difficult task of sacrificing day-to-day items.
Thirty years ago, our parents enjoyed a decent pension. But surely we'll enjoy the same benefit - won't we?
No we won't!
For one very simple reason: their pensions were funded by taxes. And since the New Zealand population is aging (Baby Boomers are the largest generation in New Zealand), paying for those pensions will be an uphill battle for the country.
Click on graph below and see…
There are other influencing factors that highlight the differences
between previous generations and today...
- We're better educated and generally started work later than or parents or grandparents.
- We retire earlier than our parents.
- We live longer (85 years) than our parents (70).
- Our parents and grandparents lived through World War II and the great depression. They grew up learning to be thrifty, and to save.
- We don't save. We spend. Credit card spending is at an all time high in New Zealand. Kiwis are now the worst savers of all the OECD countries. We squirrel away less than 1% of disposable income, compared to 5% in 1990, according to the Economist.
- In 1996 there were 6 workers to support every retiree. By the time Baby Boomers retire there will be only three. See graph Retirement Commission.
In summary, our parents and grandparents worked and saved for 50 years to fund a retirement that lasted 5 years. That's ten years of working and saving for every year of retirement. We work and spend for just forty years - and we'll endure a retirement of 25 years. That's two years of working - and NOT saving - for each year of retirement.
It Gets Worse!
As consumers, over the last decade or so, we have been busy spending money. We've not been saving, we've been renovating and extending our homes.
We've bought spa pools, boats and investment properties, thinking the market would never turn. We've had years of being romanced by the banks who were more than happy to lend us money.
But the recent global credit crisis has impacted our local economy along with the rising cost of living. New Zealanders live in a global economy heavily influenced by US and Asian markets. As they say, "when the global economy sneezes, we catch a cold"...
Without any form of part-time home business, is it any wonder that we don't have enough money NOW let alone when we actually retire?
The Pain and the Real Problem.
We think the real pain that affects our health and relationships that also leads to stress takes two forms: Let's see if you agree:
- Not enough Money
- Not enough Time
But that's not the real problem. The real problem is our distorted lifelong conditioning. We're conditioned by how we were raised, by our education and our work experience. The fact is that we are socialised to be three things thay we're certain you will be very familiar with...
- EMPLOYEES - We're trained to exchange a fixed amount of time for a fixed amount of money.
- CONSUMERS (spenders) - We trade a fixed amount of money for goods and services. We have been 'trained' to buy stuff.
- IMITATORS - We're trained to play it safe by doing what everyone else does. We happily follow the herd (like sheep)!
The cause of most of our stress is our unwitting reliance on RECIPROCAL income. Reciprocal income is what we earn by trading one thing of fixed value for another thing of fixed value. Mostly it comes from trading our time for money. Trading a fixed amount of time for a fixed amount of money in a job limits the free time and disposable income we have because it robs us of leverage.
And it's often worse for people in a profession (such as an Accountant or Lawyer) or for self-employed people where they limit their income by charging their time by the hour. It puts an automatic limit on their earning potential.
But we reciprocal income is not all bad. It's regular and usually secure. Generally, reciprocal income is predictable which means we're able to manage the household cash-flow because we know when it's coming in.
Reciprocal Income is Also a
Death-Trap for Most People.
Most people are chained to the 9-5 treadmill because they can't see a way to break free from wage slavery and look for a home based business alternative.
It's even worse for those who are self-employed or Franchisees who tend to work longer and harder, for less money, less security, less satisfaction and less independence than their own employees… And on top of that, they've usually mortgaged the house to do it!
It's estimated that in New Zealand, most families are less that one month away from technical bankruptcy should their pay packets disappear. So, we're locked in good by our need for reciprocal income until we finally retire...
With too much time and too little money.
Even when we want to go into business for ourselves (be it traditional business or home based business), we take our conditioning with us (remember: employees, consumers & imitators). Here's what happens:
When we're faced with a business decision that requires us to think and act like an entrepreneur, a marketer or an innovator, our conditioning typically takes over and we revert to thinking and acting in the only way we've been conditioned to think and act.
Like an employee, a consumer or an imitator...
We Have to Learn a New Way of Thinking if
We Want to Break Free From Our Conditioning.
Breaking free of our conditioning is our greatest obstacle. We have to stop thinking in terms of reciprocal income (like a job), and think in terms of residual income earned from a business where we can sever all connection between our time and our money.
Residual income is the business-based income we get from doing something once and receiving payment from that work coming in over and over again, year after year.
Songwriters, insurance salespeople, novelists are common examples of people who earn residual income... Investors in property and shares receive rental income and dividends from their investments. Franchisors earn royalties and fees from the turnover of their franchisees.
Is a Home Based Business the Solution?
Listen, it's no secret that in business, when goods and services are sold, a great percentage of the final price is made up of costs incurred by layers of middlemen. These include everyone in the distribution chain, traditional marketing, advertising agencies, the media, freight companies, insurers, banks and more.
The solution lies in three parts:
- Starting a home based business that serves customers who repeatedly buy real products because they really want them. After all, without customers, we don't have a business. Do you agree?
- Owning a business that frees up some of the revenue that is currently being diverted away to middlemen and diverting it to you in a continuous stream.
- Simple, built-in systems, (that have zero or minimal cost) that can help you develop the confidence, leadership, attitudes, skills and behaviours you'll need to succeed in a profitable and legitimate home based business.
And, YES! All of this can be done without resorting to the questionable tactics of some Multi-Level Marketing companies.
After very careful research, experience, and almost four years of actual results, we are ready to share one of the best home business systems with you. And the chances are you've probably never heard of it.
But first, let's review what we need to consider in choosing our future...
- We need residual income so we can work less and
have more free time and earn more disposable income.
- We need to be in business for ourselves, since
this is the
only way for us to create residual income. - We need a business that delivers real value for
customers. In other words it needs to deal with products
that really work, that customers repeatedly want to buy. - We also need reciprocal income in the short term
at least, while we build residual income, because the bills
need to be paid and it's immediate and predictable. - We need a business that's part time, home-based
with minimal start up investment and minimum
operating expenses. - We need a business with simple built-in systems
that deliver fresh perspectives on knowledge, attitudes
and skills we need to succeed (remember the conditioning). - We need a business with powerful leverage that
allows us to duplicate our efforts over and over. - We need a business where no-one can get hurt
(including our customers, friends and family). A business
with little or no risk - to our money, our time,
our efforts, our integrity, our relationships, our reputations
and our current jobs.
And that's where we can help. Really.
